Kerrie About Pic

I’m a freelance writer, living on Bainbridge Island, WA, with three “perfect” children, a Type-A pilot husband, and a Norman Rockwellian 100-pound black lab, that stays curled by the fire on winter days, or situates himself on one stair of our staircase, when the elusive Pacific Northwest sun shines through our foyer window.

When my eldest daughter was ten years old, I confided to her that my “biggest fear” was writing a successful novel and having to read aloud my most private thoughts.  In typical girl speak, she shrieked,  “OH, MY GOD, MOTHER!  THAT’S SUCH ‘LOSER’ MENTALITY!”

Hence, if you’ve read this far, you are, perhaps, an agent or publisher (or very dear friend) to whom I have sent my first novel, Casa de Spin.  For your time, patience, and consideration, I thank you.

With best regards, from an aspiring novelist who is finally acknowledging that she didn’t fall too far from that that beautiful, bountiful, mixed up, and magical (literary) orchard from where she came…
